fourth Tutoring Observation
I have been tutored by this tutor before; she tutored two students at
once. I thought this session was going to be a disaster because the two
students were on to different levels one student was ESL and the other
was on English 101. The ENG 101 student wrote an essay on how
interpersonal decisions affect a person after society has found the
person’s decision morally wrong (abortion). The ESL student was going
over English grammar worksheets. The tutor had great time management
with the two students; she never lost her place when pausing to assist
both students. The ESL student began to grasp the material given to her
really quickly and complete the work with only a few errors here and
there. The student began to get excited and wanted to keep doing more
and more worksheets. The ENG 101 was focused too much on creating the
perfect sentence. Both students would definitely be returning to the
tutor because they told me they love her and they felt comfortable
working with her because she made them laugh all the time.
